I had the distinct honor of co-organizing—with Robert O’Meally and Fred Moten—a special meeting of scholars at the Columbia University Center for Jazz Studies dedicated to the themes of “Jazz, Space, and Physics.”

As an introduction to the colloquium, I presented a paper entitled, “Jazz Studies the Wire: Disciplinary Reckoning with Musicians and their Science.”
